Shane Battier
Shane Battier is a retired professional basketball player known for his defensive skills and basketball IQ. Born on September 9, 1978, in Birmingham, Michigan, Battier played college basketball at Duke University, where he won the Naismith College Player of the Year award in 2001. He was selected as the 6th overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. Battier played for several NBA teams, including the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat, winning two NBA championships with the Heat in 2012 and 2013. Off the court, Battier is known for his philanthropic work and analytical approach to the game.
