Vandana Shiva

Vandana Shiva is an acclaimed Indian scholar, environmental activist, and food sovereignty advocate. Born in 1952 in Dehradun, India, she has dedicated her life to promoting sustainable agriculture and challenging corporate control over seeds and food systems. Shiva's work has focused on highlighting the impact of globalization and industrial agriculture on small farmers and the environment. She has authored numerous books and received several awards for her activism, including the Right Livelihood Award and the Sydney Peace Prize.
