Rosalind Franklin
Rosalind Franklin (1920-1958) was a British biophysicist and X-ray crystallographer who made significant contributions to the discovery of the structure of DNA. Her work on the structure of DNA fibers and viruses provided crucial data that informed the double helix model developed by Watson and Crick. Despite her groundbreaking research, Franklin's role was often overshadowed, and she did not receive proper recognition in her lifetime. Her legacy as a pioneering scientist in molecular biology continues to be celebrated posthumously.
