Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx was born on October 2, 1890, in New York City. He was an American comedian, actor, and writer, best known as a member of the Marx Brothers comedy team. Groucho was known for his quick wit, distinctive appearance with a greasepaint mustache and eyebrows, and his iconic cigar. He starred in numerous films and TV shows, including "Duck Soup," "A Night at the Opera," and "You Bet Your Life." Groucho was also a talented author and hosted the popular quiz show "You Bet Your Life." He passed away on August 19, 1977, leaving behind a legacy as one of the greatest comedians in entertainment history.
