Born in Berlin in 1920, he fled Nazi Germany in 1938 and eventually settled in Australia. Newton's work featured strong, confident, and often nude women in luxurious and glamorous settings, challenging traditional notions of femininity and sexuality. He rose to fame in the 1970s and became one of the most influential fashion photographers of his time. Newton's work continues to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide. He passed away in a car accident in 2004, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the world of photography.
