Karen Hughes

Karen Hughes is a prominent American political strategist and communications executive. Born in 1956, Hughes served as the counselor to President George W. Bush from 2001 to 2002, becoming the first woman to hold a position of that rank in the White House. She was known for her effective communication skills and was instrumental in shaping Bush's public image. Prior to her time in the White House, Hughes co-founded a successful public relations firm and served as the Under Secretary of State for Public Affairs and Public Diplomacy from 2005 to 2007. She has authored several books and continues to be a respected figure in the field of politics and communications.
